Child Profiles
Andrew
Andrew has it all: he is a talented football player, writes poetry, enjoys going to the gym to work out with his foster father and regularly goes to church. He has everything but a forever family to call his own.
Andrew is a sleek good looking 14 year old with model like qualities. He has an easy smile and is very social. Sports is his passion, football is his favorite. Andrew has been on his junior high school football team where he relishes playing defense since he likes to tackle others rather than be hit himself.
His Foster Father Reggie says Andrew does well in school and learns new things rapidly. He describes Andrew as polite, articulate and considerate. While he loves sports, he expresses his sensitive side through poetry. “He still misses his mother very much and poetry helps him deal with it,” Reggie added.
Andrew is also deft in the digital world. He understands computers and dabbles at learning how things like cell phones and other technology works. He recently helped his foster father sell some items on Craig’s List, taking digital pictures of the goods and successfully getting them on the computer.
A great weekend for Andrew would include going to the movies, playing some football, and relaxing afterwards with video games and watching TV. A big burrito wrap from Garcias is what he prefers to satisfy his hunger. “Spider Man” is his favorite movie and he often dreams he could be Peter Parker fighting crime and swinging through the city.
When asked how his friends might describe him, Andrew’s reply was, “Funny, a practical joker who can get loose and just hang out.”
He has diverse musical tastes that include rap, hip hop, blues, R and B and reggae.
Reggie says Andrew is a fine young man who just needs some guidance as he enters the next phase of his life. A structured family that is active would work best for Andrew, preferably one where he is the youngest or only child. “Andrew will be an asset to a family who can help give him the skills he needs for the next plane,” he stressed. For more information on this wonderful kid, please contact: Amanda Lennberg , Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter at 602.930.4472 or by email at alennberg@aask-az.org
