Making Decisions
If you decide to parent, you may be eligible to receive:
- Assistance with food, housing, employment, medical services and day care
- Therapeutic services, including physical, occupational, speech and music therapy for your child
- Emotional support and/or counseling services
- Access to parent support groups
If you choose adoption for your child, you have the right to:
- Select a family to raise your child
- Meet the family you have chosen
- Change your mind about the adoption at any time before signing legal adoption paperwork
- Request ongoing information and contact with the adoptive family through the exchange of letters and pictures, or
- Choose to have a confidential adoption in which there is no contact with the adoptive family
