AASK provides relationships for children in foster care, connecting children with foster families, adoptive families, siblings, kin, and adult mentors. AASK uses tax credit gifts to provide services not funded by the state. For example, your gift can help match caring mentors with youth preparing to “age out” of foster care, or help us host fun activities throughout the year to reunite brothers and sisters placed in different homes.
Arizona now offers a stand-alone foster care tax credit, which can be used in addition to credits used for schools and other charities.
AASK (Aid to Adoption of Special Kids) is a Qualifying Foster Care Organization in Arizona.
Which means that a gift to AASK can be made "for free" as it reduces dollar-for-dollar the state tax you owe. Limits for gifts to foster care only are $500 per individual or $1,000 per couple filing jointly.
— The tax credit applies to donations made by April 15.
— The state tax credit for gifts to qualifying foster care organizations (QFCO) is separate from credits for gifts to schools or other qualifying charitable organizations (QCO).
