Meet Tyler & Raymond!

Tyler and Raymond Tyler and Raymond are brothers looking for a forever home together. At 10 and 11 years old, the boys are close in age, but have very different personalities. Despite this, they do have one thing in common: they look out for each other and help each other out.

“I’d describe my brother as generous, loving and friendly,” says Raymond, who is 10 years old. “And Raymond is loving and always wants hugs,” added Tyler, 11, “But I’m a bigger hugger.”

Although Raymond admits that he likes to be inside more than out, both boys love to go hiking and are hoping that they can go fishing someday with a mom and dad. Raymond also loves playing video games and watching soccer, football and baseball on TV. As the more talkative of the two brothers, it’s clear that he enjoys sharing his feelings and being with people. He is interested in learning about exciting things and says he just wants to see what’s new. He was excited to see the otters at the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium.

Tyler wants to learn more about the outdoors and loves playing outside. He likes camping and he really wants to go to Legoland and to Hollywood to see all the movie stars there and meet Jackie Chan. “We’ve been setting up our dreams,” says Tyler. “I wish that I was a wild boy, because I really love the outdoors. I’m more of an explorer.”

Both boys have musical talents too. Tyler plays trumpet in the school band and Raymond is learning piano. They also have big aspirations for their futures. Tyler would like to visit Tyler, Texas, where his name comes from, and start a restaurant called “Tyler’s Steak Shop.” He says that Raymond can work as his chef because he loves steak. “I would like to run the restaurant,” says Raymond.

In school, both boys are trying hard and getting good grades. For both, math is their best subject, but Raymond also enjoys writing and social studies. And although they get along well, they do admit that they sometimes pick on each other, but they try to work out any differences by talking.

When it comes to their forever family, the boys know that they want to stay together in their new home. They are looking for loving parents who will be there for them and support them. They describe their ideal mom and dad as generous, patient and responsible.

“I would like a family with a dad who's really nice and who would be home when I come home from school so I can tell him how my day was,” Tyler explains.

“And I want a mother that spends time with us and just pays attention to us,” added Raymond.
