AASK for HCBS

The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program provides families with valuable supports and services for individuals with special needs. This program includes Attendant Care, Habilitation and Respite services.

HCBS Caregiver candidates need to read the attached Job Description and then download the application for employment and call to schedule an interview. Recruits

AASK's multi-layered recruitment and screening process provides your family with caring, qualified providers. Our AASK providers:

- Undergo initial pre-screening
- Pass TB testing
- Are given free Hepatitis B vaccinations
- Must provide three letters of reference
- Must pass local and FBI background screenings

Trains

AASK's comprehensive training program exceeds state requirements. Training provides valuable skills including:

- Positive Behavior Support
- Crisis Intervention Techniques
- Medication Administration
- CPR / First Aid

Coordinates & Monitors

To maximize the progress of clients, AASK coordinators personally write programs, review progress notes, and visit the clients annually. To ensure high quality service, clients or their families are surveyed on provider's performance and that feedback is incorporated into the provider's performance evaluation.
