As the Latino population continues to grow in Arizona, so will the number of Latino children coming into foster care. Unfortunately, for various reasons, Latino children are over-represented in Arizona’s foster care system; 38% in the child welfare system, currently sharing the top ranking with Caucasian children.
Meet the Miramontes Family
The Todos Los Niños program through AASK offers services aimed at placing Latino children with families of the same heritage. Todos Los Niños has been tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of the Latino community, providing a continuum of culturally sensitive adoption and foster care services. Services through Todos Los Niños are offered in both English and Spanish.
