Foster Care

“As foster parents, we are asked to not only care for the basic needs of a child, but also sit alongside them as they digest the hurt and damage they have undeservingly experienced.”
– Carrie Dahlin, author of “What Led Me To You”

Foster Care in Arizona

Are you ready to take the first step to providing foster care to a child in Arizona?

Children in foster care need a stable relationship with a caring adult so that healing can begin. Foster families typically serve as a port in a storm, offering safety, comfort and caring in the sometimes choppy journey to family reunification. Children in foster care – already frightened and hurt by the circumstances leading to intervention by the Arizona Department of Child Safety – are confused and often distrustful of adults. You can be the one that helps them when they need it most.

AASK programs were developed and improved over decades of experience and give families the training and resources necessary to positively impact the lives of children placed in their home – for however long that may be. With AASK, you are never alone in your foster care experience. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of all children in foster care, and that includes meeting the needs of the generous foster families that open their homes to them.
